The ski resort "Comprensorio Sciistico del Monte Cimone" is located at an altitude between 1200 m and 2160 m on the northern side of the mountain, in the heart of the Apennines. It includes more than 50 km of tracks all linked together in which you can access with a single skipass with the convenience of never having to take off your skis. The snow is guaranteed by the presence of a modern snowmaking system that covers 80% of the tracks. The ski area covers the territory of 4 municipalities from which starts the skilifts and where is located the majority of hotels and restaurants: Riolunato, Montecreto, Sestola and Fanano. In order to satisfy every request, are available 34 downhill runs, 2 cross-country ski and 3 snow-cross tracks. A snow park and a baby park are added. There are also more than 100 ski instructors ready to accompany skiers relying on their personal level of experience: from ski school for adults and children up to competitive levels. For the quality and variety of services it offeres, the ski resort of Cimone is the ideal locations for families and for winter sports fans. Is in place, also, a big renovation plan that will lead to the expansion of the ski slopes and to the overall improvement of the skilifts by reducing the waiting time for the ascent. This ski resort, however, is not only equipped for skiing, guests can have fun and relax with other activities both indoors and outdoors. Within some hotels of the area there are gyms, beauty salons and spa. It is possible to use the swimming pool in Sestola with hot tub or the ice rink in Fanano. There is also a wide choice of outdoor activities: to tourist can chose from a wide variety of hiking trails in the snow with snowshoes accompanied or not by a guide. A sport to try, for the one who didn't try it yet, is the snowkite where you can go down the snowy slopes on a snowboard attached to a kite.
